Bride and groom wave to guests of honor

For a little town like Gruene, Texas our Hill Country Weddings have been pretty on par with industry trends! The chapel, the flowers, the walks down the aisle, the first dance, you could essentially map out the day of celebration with your eyes closed. But, as time goes on, things change! The industry has shifted dramatically and if we’re being honest, we’re here for it.

One of our favorite new wedding trends has been redirection of focus on the guests. The Bride and Groom are spending more time, and money, on the people that are coming to celebrate this glorious day with them. In true southern hospitality form, the redirection has been somewhat of an easy transition as these people are usually family and friends. The engagement with guests and focus on their experience is really what has made these weddings a step above the rest. Seeing couples excited to share their day with guests is an experience all in its own.

Something unique about Gruene Estates is that we’re happy to offer a variety of options for our Bride and Groom that allow us to stand out amongst other venues. Our BYOV, Bring You Own Vendor, option gives them space to be creative and focus on the big day! We also have extras like lanterns, candles, votives, etc., that are included in the price! These small details really make a big difference!  A few fun activities have included things like cornhole, Jenga, and we’ve even seen a spin the wheel… Regardless of the style of wedding our couples are having; boho, rustic, elegant, etc, we make sure it is a night to remember not just for the bride and groom, but the entire party! Because lets face it, they are the “guests” of honor.
